WHY YOU FEEL BROKE (NOW MATTER HOW MUCH YOU MAKE)
For a lot of people, it feels like no matter how much they make it’s never enough.
Think about your own situation. Think about how much you were making five years ago. Now, think about how much you were making 10 years ago. Chances are you’re most likely making a lot more today, but you still feel like it’s not enough. There’s a reason for that.
That’s what I’m going to talk about in this message. Why you feel broke.
Society has programmed us to have a scarcity mindset. It’s all about cutting and not about growing.
Think about it. It’s all about cutting your expenses, don’t do this with your money, don’t do that with your money. Rarely do you hear grow your money, multiply your money, increase your money.
If you look at John 10:10, the amplified version, it tells us The thief comes only in order to steal, and kill, and destroy. I came that they may have, and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full till it overflows.
You see, in the Bible, there’s a story about when Jesus told the disciples to get in a boat and go to the other side. When they begin to go to the other side, a storm came and begin to rock the boat. The disciples got scared and worried and start the question if Jesus sent them out there to actually die.
Then Jesus said, “Where is your faith?“
And that’s what happens to us.
When we’re young, we have all these dreams of the abundant prosperous life that we can live. Then society tells us your job doesn’t pay enough, you’re in debt, you can’t afford that, you have to cut this. But, on the other hand, the Bible is telling us we have dominion, be fruitful and multiply, live a life of abundance, live a life of prosperity.
Why do we choose to believe what the world tells us, instead of believing what God tells us?
That’s why you feel broke. When you get into a financial bind instead of thinking, “How can I use my God-given talents and abilities to increase my income?” You start thinking, I don’t have enough.
Instead of thinking, “How can I grow the resources that God has blessed me with?” You think, I need to hold on to this because I might not have any more come in.
Do you see the issue here?
We need to start believing what the Bible tells us, and stop believing what the world tells us.
It’s not about scarcity, it’s about abundance. Instead of thinking about holding on, think about growing. Instead of thinking about cutting back, think about multiplying. And that is how you can get over feeling broke.
Remember that God gives us dominion over everything on earth, so you should not struggle, and feel like you have to live paycheck to paycheck. Do not believe the situation that the world has put you in.
It’s easy to become like the disciples, and start to believe what you see around you, instead of believing the Word of God. If you believe the Word of God, then you will understand that you can multiply, you can build wealth, and you can live a life of prosperity.
What I want to do is challenge you to do two things:
- Go out and make an investment outside of a 401K. Outside of what someone else has already given you. Invest for yourself. It can be as little as $100. Just make your money work for you, instead of always working for it.
- Research a way to make some income outside of a job. You can use Google or start using my Income Booster System for free. Just start thinking of how you can produce income on your own, outside of a job.
Do these two things and you will start to take steps in the direction to live a more prosperous life — and stop feeling broke.
